My car stereo…
…has a default function where if you just plug in your ipod/iphone and it wasn’t already playing something before, it goes to the first song, by title, in your music library before you can pick anything else. For me this song is Jackson 5’s “ABC.” Great song, right?
Well, it’s not a great song if you’re stressed out. Or you’re late for something. Or it’s blazing hot, or shivering cold. And you plug your ipod in, and without expecting it, “ABC” starts blasting unwittingly. It makes you want to murder people.
I am actively considering going in and adding a silent track and naming it “AAAAAAA” so I can avoid this pain.
